Change.org petition challenges new YouTube rules

This is the dumbest thing i’ve seen today..
Youtube will do what it thinks is best for it’s customers - the ADVERTISORS.
Youtube also knows exactly how many channels it’s changes affected, and does not care how much they all whine about it.

The funny thing with these petitions is that people are still going to be connected to Youtube regardless. Let's say that Google tells a million people ''we read your little petition thing, had a good laugh and wiped our behinds with it. Enjoy the great creators on our site!''. How many people are REALLY going to stop uploading/watching on Youtube at that point? Almost none is the answer to that one. Even if you stop making videos (which YT does not care about anyways) you will still be watching content on the site, thus making them money.

I get why YouTube has made the changes they did. Also, I understand why many aren't happy with the changes. I have two channels and on one a video that I posted years ago caught wind on reddit for some reason and in the last month has over 420k views. I have a decent check coming my way for it too. Got to love that 4th quarter ad rate. Prior to that though it took me 1 year and 3 months just to hit $90. I'll loose monetization on both of my channels. So on one hand I'm glad everything happened when it did because now I have some spare cash coming but otherwise many days I found more money left behind people in vending machines at work that what I earned in a day.

For me though it hasn't discouraged me. Nothing has changed. I enjoy making videos. I want to share what I create. 1,000 subs is still off in the distance for me and way farther on the other channel that just made me the money but I'm aiming much higher anyways. If it happens, great. If not, still having fun. I'm not going anywhere.
