Capture card not working properly

so i got a aver media capture card and for some odd reason i cannot record certain devices directly from the associated software that came with the capture card.

any ideas why would be very appreciated

Sometimes it's the copyright. Example: if I tried to record Netflix from my xbox using my Elgato it wouldn't let me, but I can record games no problem.

They have a forum which you'd probably be better going on to ask for support. I've been on this forum almost daily for six months and I've never heard of that type of capture card before.
