Can't make Thumbnails

That's kind of what I did with my gaming thumbnails just not with the logo, I can't tell if it will work though because that channel hardly gets any traffic :(. Also try to be consistent between different series, it makes your channel look less confusing :).

Personally, I think that the barrier to my progression is the thumbnails. Just need help. Thanks. :)

Don't want to copy yours though. Plus, that image you found is a wallpaper made by someone else so don't want to get it taken down. What if I use a screenshot of the game and blur it and then do the Portal logo and ect, would that work?
well unless you are gaining money from your videos, you should be okay, earning money from someone elses work isn't right, but if it's not for money then that's okay, after all you are playing other peoples games, they are just as much other peoples creations as that picture is.

The text is really annoying me! I can't get it to look good, just looks stretched and stupid! :banghead:

can you shoe me what you have now? i'll give you some tips to improve it :3

personally I would keep the shadows black, the white shadows make it look a bit sloppy.
and maybe a font that isn't in italics.
aside from that it's fine :)

That's it. I can't do the font, yours is amazing and I've tried using GIMP for the shadow. I use GIMP for ALL my thumbnails and I still can't use the borders, they just look awful.

Step 1:
ok, so you write your words, then you click filters > Light and shadow > Drop Shadow

Step 2:
then you need to set both the offsets to 0 then change the size to somewhere between 20 and 30. then change the opacity to 100

Step 3:
go to filters > Distorts > Emboss

Step 4:
set it to "Bump Map" and change the three settings until it looks okay, this will give it a bit of a 3d texture around the edges

this should help with the black around the edges.
However, as i said, Picfont[dot]com will do that for you, so you really don't need to worry about that, go to picfont, it will produce better results than you have done in gimp i promise

Pic font is distorted.

Thanks, but I can't find bump map and it's still not working. Sorry.

I don't know what else to suggest then :p those are all the things that i would and do do, you'll have to find your own way around it, sorry i couldn't be of more help.
