Canon Powershot or Equivalent

What up everyone, so I was looking at a new 1080p hd camera to do some unboxings videos, along with some videos I might want to do outside with my 1yr old son. Now, I was going to get the very popular Canon Powershot Elph110HS, but have recently read that they were discountinued.

Now....I know the camera is great and very cheap now, but should I stay away from it since its discountinued now, or should I go ahead and make the purchase?

Last question, what would be the equivalant, or newer version of the Canon Powershot Elph110HS, to look at price difference. Now, I am not wanting to spend much, because this camera will just be for fun with my son/outdoors or what not and I can use my DSLR or gopro for other jobs. So I am looking for a smaller camera, like a powershot, that shoots 1080p video on the go. Thanks .
 
So here's 4 I have been looking at:
Canon powershot elph 110 hs
Canon powershot sx280 hs
Sony dsc wx350
Nikon coolpix l620

These are just best buy options but I'm open to anything that shoots 1080p hd and is $250 or less.

Like I said above, the elph 110 hs is a very popular good cam for about $150 now new, on eBay. Just didn't know if it's a risk buying a new camera that's discontinued......

Just buy the one you can afford. Personally, if you can FIND the Canon Powershot Elph 110 hs, go for that one. My friend was able to make a short film with it, so it's good, and cheap. He only paid like $80 for it.
