Can I post highlights of other people's replays?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering, can I download other people's replays to make highlights? Do these replays have copyright protections?

Thanks!

As long as you are reviewing, and the highlights aren't really long. Educational purposes n' whatnot.
Well, the main concern is whether it is legal to MONETIZE these videos? Can I just go download some replays of pro players and make highlights of it?

The highlights are not really long, mostly 4-7 minutes.

I ask this cuz I see many people with some quite big channels who do that. Not sure whether Youtube allows this though.

That's too long, make the highlights a few seconds, and break them up.

Well, the entire video is 4-7 minutes, not each highlights obviously. By "make the highlights a few seconds", do you mean the entire video must last a few seconds, or just one highlight?

I would ask the YouTuber's permission or you could get flagged, especially if you're planning on monetizing a video that contains their content!

You'll probably get away with it, assuming you have voice over too, just make sure to give proper credit.
