Can I Ever Join a Network?

Weirdo With a Beardo
Hey guys, Luke here!
Just a random question that popped in my head today: could I ever join a network? I ask this because to drive traffic to my channel every month I'll make a video or two that's copyrighted (voice over, commercial for a product, etc.) but I won't monetize it and I acknowledge the third party content. But after being on theses forums for a while I see posts of people saying that their network is making them take down copyrighted videos (but in the case that I saw they had to take it down because of a lack of commentary on a gaming video). So does this kind of thing depend on the network you want to join with or is it universal with all networks, or does it depend on content?

Tl;dr: A little less than half of my videos are copyrighted, not monetized, can I join a network or do I have to run solo?

If you have any copyright strikes at all then you won't be able to join a network unfortunately.

No, a network will not accept you if you have copyrighted material or strikes. I`d be surprised if you could even monetize on those videos with Adsense :p

A network will require all of your own material, and will only partner you if you remove the material you spoke about that's copyrighted.

Obviously that means no copyright strikes, but I think the point he is trying to make is do "Acknoweledged third party content ID's" count towards his credibilitiy towards partnership? :)

Not preaching, just asking...............

"You must remove all third party content to be eligible for partnership with a MCN" :p

No strikes on my account, thank god :D

yeah I don't even try to monetize them because I don't want to risk getting a strike. A week after posting them I usually get a notification from YT saying that they think my content is copyrighted. I tell them it is, and all that happens is monetiziation is disabled for that video so that I can't try to monetize it later.

And thanks for all the extremely quick responses, guys. Gotta love these forums

You'll GET strikes, is my point. You simply cannot do it sadly. :( you'll either be denied partnership or allowed in providing those videos are removed.
