Can EVERYONE reach 100k Subs, given enough time?

100,000 seems like such a far out number when I think of it in terms of my channel, but when you look at big YouTubers like Tyler Oakley, Zoella, Ryan Higa, etc, it seems so small! It's weird to think about it both ways, but it would be seriously amazing to reach 100,000 subscriber one day. That's definitely what I'm hoping for even though it can get kind of disheartening sometimes when you work so hard but don't see hardly any progress subscribers/view-wise. YouTube is one of my passions, though, so I think it's so worth it! I really hope that with hard work and dedication, anyone can get 100,000 subscribers one day.

No, it's not possible for even a small percentage of people who have YouTube channels and upload regularly to reach 100K subs. It's the same reason not everyone that wants to be a singer or an actor will end up successful. Think of YouTube as a "fame based" economy. Only so many people can be popular. If your videos are not good, even if you spam a lot of people you'll reach an equilibrium where you're loosing the same amount of subs a day as you gain. That's normally going to be at somewhere between 500 and 5,000 subs. Your channel will just stop growing.

So that's one way to answer the question. A lot of it has to do with the way you put it. "Can Everyone". Well I can say 100% the answer is no.

I think the right question is "Can anyone reach 100K subs given enough time?" The answer to that is absolutely yes. It's a totally level playing field for everyone. We're all given the same tools and have the same opportunity. There is no human intervention. It's just us against the YouTube algorithm.

Pick a smart category to go into. Make good videos. And understand the basics of SEO and you'll reach 100K subs. But life being what it is only about 1% of content creators do all three of those things.

According to YouTube's own statistics around 10,000 channels make over $100,000 a year. There's over a billion YouTube accounts. I don't know how many content creators there are but I'm guessing several million. If you go on Social Blade and randomly start searching channels you'll see that most channels that have 100,000 plus subs are top 3,000 in social blades rank.

There is definitely something to be said by just sitting on youtube and gaining subs. So many channels have like 100k subs called the no video channel. I would be lucky to hit 1K before I kick but I am very old.

Well I dont know about some of you, but, I don't think there's ENOUGH MATH!!!

No but seriously your right, at some stage everyone will you need those few who are willing to keep it up for so long and to just keep building and creating till you reach your goal :)

Uhhhh no. I doubt that I'm destined to reach 100,000 subscribers and I'm ok with that. I'm not working towards that goal.

My end goal was 1,000 subscribers. Now that I hit it, I really don't care what the number is.

I think anyone can if they put enough time and effort into it. But alot of people give up before they get to that point. Or some channels don't really promote their channel much.

You know. when someone starts out on youtube, they always come on forums to ask questions like " I have problems growing my audience??? " or.. " High quality videos, no subscribers? What am I doing wrong? ".
It's like someone expects to receive 100 subscribers in not even 1 week!
Trust me, if you stay on youtube for long enough - You. WIll TOTALLY reach 100 subscribers.
There's no doubts. The longer you're on youtube = The more videos you have = The more chance you have of someone to find your videos...

Now, reaching 100 subscribers.. Fair enough,it usually takes more than a month of activity on youtuube to gain 100 subs. Unless you do like.. 5 subs a day / made a viral video.
Very very unlikely tho. The start is hard.

Now, time passes, and your subscribers amount definetly grew up.
Imagine you're at 1000 subscribers.
You obviously gain at LEAST 2 subs a day.
If you do less than that, I don't know why really D:

But you got to the point, where most people would of have already given up, BUT YOU'RE NOT GONNA STOP THERE!!

Actually, let's say you did.
you still would do 2 subscribers average per day.
Now if you wanted to get to 100,000 subscribers without no work, well you could do it easily:
in approximately 136 years.
Damn.

just 1 more subscriber a day, and that number goes to 90!

Now, maybe you'll reach 100,000 subscribers.. when you... when you died, yeah.
But still - You reached them, right?

Youtube is strange, just 1 more subscriber a day and you'll need to wait less - like very less.

I'm making an average of 80 subscribers per day ( Holy s**t )
And I would reach 100,000 subscribers - In just 3 years!

Doesn't seem much to me also, but lots of youtubers have gone to that point, in less than that.
Why?
Because youtube works like this:
The more subscribers you have, the more subscribers you'll have.

In 3 years, the subscribers per day, will chane, by a LOT.

Maybe it'll take even less than that - Maybe even 1 year.

But still, if you would quit youtube, you would lose lots of subscriptions. this happened to someone I know.

But still, if you didn't quit youtube, and you kept making videos, do you think ANYONE can reach 100,000 subscribers, given enough time to grow their channel?

Is youtube a matter of not giving up?

In the future, more people will sign up on youtube, and the more people there are, the more subscribers you can have..
Right?
ye.

Everything is a matter of not giving up not just youtube....everything if you stay consistant at what you do and give your best to it then the results will follow

A lot of people ask "what to do?" like there is some magic formula to get subs. Of course there are many things you can do but a lot of people forget then one of them is to... wait.

Yes "WAIT". Because no matter what super secret special ultra mega way you know to get subs / views / whatever - it will take time.

I sure hope so!! I am keeping a cummulative graph of my subs in Excel and it is growing faster and faster (I mean how fast can it be at the level I am at, but you know...) But the biggest YouTubers in my niche have 150k (Cole and Marmalade) and 100k (Gone to the Snow Dogs) subs. So I don't know if I will ever make it there... There just aren't enough people interested I think :p
