Can 1 Grow With 1 Video A Week?

My channel is almost 10 months old and the most subs I got is 22. I dont know about you all but thats kind of bad. I know 1 of the main factors is because I dont upload as much as I should so I expect these kinds of numbers. I know theres other changes that need to be made and im working on that. Just recently, my new pc is giving me tons of issues which is why my easter video is delayed by 3 days so theres that thats also delaying me.

I wanna do more vlogs a week but I do the same thing everyday. Work all day, come home tired as hell with nothing to film but my kid running from me when i get the camera out lol. Its just hard to film when we dont do to much of anything but sit at home.

What do you guys think?
Its possible it soly depends on yout content. Like prank channels upload their videos like every 2 weeks and they grow fast!

Channel growth is an interesting one. My current channel, I've had for a year now and I'm on about 310 subs. Honestly my channel is kinda flatlining right now and it's frustrating as I have periods where my sub counts and views do grow and sometimes they just stay still.

A few things I've learnt is you have to keep to regular uploads but I wouldn't say too regular. I know some people who upload several times a week and it's kind of off putting, for me it's quality over quantity. When I upload a video I like to give it time to shine before I upload uploading the next. I've know people to do the vlog everyday for a month and they have lost subs rather than gained because the videos aren't planned and usually rushed. I also try and make my next video better than the last so my viewers will have something to look forward to.

It's also important to Network, Network, Network and to be a good viewer as well as a good content creator. If you don't put in the time to watch other people's videos, comment, like and favourite on youtube then you may not get back what you want, sometimes you only get what you give. I've learnt aswell that if you want interaction from other youtubers, create allies and others who you can depend on it's important to talk to those who are of a similar sub count to yourself. For me, if I went to speak to a big youtuber, the likely hood is they won't even notice me, where as if I speak to someone with around 200-400 subs then I'm more likely to get a response as they are within my bracket. Sorry if this seemed a little long winded and I know some might not agree with what I'm saying but it's just my thoughts.

Hey its great to get such thought from others. Ive tried watching others, leavinf comments and likes. It frustrates me that to those I comment and like, they are subbed to me and I am to them as well. But they dont do the same for me. Im the type that if you comment on a video of mine, im coming to that persons channel to do the same. And even if they dont the 2nd time, ill make my way back to their channel to do it again.

I've been doing weekly vlogs for 2.5 years, and all my vlogs are 10 - 15 minutes long. I'm up over 1,200 subscribers so I wouldn't worry about your vlog length ... just focus on being passionate (and hopefully entertaining).

Everyone is different, and it's true, not everyone will return the favour. Like I said, it's sometimes good to find those who have a similar sub count to yourself who is in a similar situation. They are more likely to connect to you because they might be struggling too. I always find that if you do find someone who you like to have a chat with, go on their channel and have a normal chat but don't do the "Hey check out my channel" crap as this usually doesn't work.

A lot of popular channels only upload once a week and still get tons of subs/views every day since their content is engaging.

I personally only upload once a week since I spend a lot of time doing my videos no matter how simple some of them can look.

As others have said by now, the frequency really is nowhere near as important as the content. I haven't been through your content as I'm writing this in my phone but it sounds like you have really short videos, which tells me you've probably don't have enough content. It's important to actually have something to say and plan it out. You can still get the "unplanned" look if you're going for that, but it's still important to have a plan though.

Also another person mentioned editing and it sounded like you don't do it. If your videos are one take videos I really hope you know what you're doing because that is nearly impossible to do right (unless the content calls for it, like unboxings sometimes do). There is a general rule that clips really shouldn't be much longer than 20 seconds before the next cut. It gives more life to the video and it is easier for the audience to keep watching.

Hope you can use any of that ;)

So you think 2 - 4 minute videos is enough?
