Buying subs and views

I've Got It
Why?

I mean, besides the very obvious reasons. Why would you do it? Surely YouTube just spits out your channel if you get a magical 10,000 subs in a day?

I read that you can buy dislikes, too....who the hell is ******* enough to go buy a bunch of dislikes? (I assume you enter someone else's URL and give the dislikes to them????)

WHY, INTERNET, WHY?

Sometimes people who decide to buy subscribers or views, does it to make themselves stand out better. what if you were only able to get 10 subscribers, and only ever gotten 50 views? i know i would feel more compelled to buy views or subscribers if that were so.

From a more business oriented perspective, having a higher number of subscribers and views can give your channel a more professional look. for example small youtubers generally don't have as high quality content as the big ones. the obvious reason is the resources avaliable and offered.

So if you bought lets say 2000 subscribers, people would feel more compelled to subscribe. just like people feel more compelled to like a page on facebook if it already have (x) amount of likes.

I don't think that anything could compel me to buy subscribers/views. Especially knowing that they're fake and trying to show that off, it would probably make me feel even worse. :p

I'd just stick to it and make videos for the fun of it.

It's the same as a band paying people to come to their concert, it just seems really stupid, and doing it iirc is against YouTube's TOS.

I have looked at prices on the internet for views and subscribers etc. out of curiosity. I'm not sure why people would actually go through with it. It defeats the purpose of earning those views and subscribers. If you buy views and subs from those random people, you're pretty much admitting defeat. It's basically saying "Hey look, I can't get views so I'm going to make it look like I'm better than I actually am" If you're genuinely good and entertaining the views will eventually build up.

As for buying dislikes for someone else. That is just pathetic and shows how jealous some people can be.
I think Youtube can actually detect if people buy views now or at least investigate if a video suddenly receives thousands of views.

Hm, it's a waste of freaking money.
But I guess some people are just that freaking desperate. :shifty2:
Internet...

Yup, you've all pretty much said what I'm thinking, so it's not just me looking at it and going "FFS". You'd only be cheating yourself, in the end. 1. Youtube will eventually cotton on and you'll lose it all, 2. The money you pay for them (even the "cheap" ones) just cancels out the revenue you'd earn from them, and 3. They are probably all stagnant, inactive accounts anyway, so they'd just drop off the subs list.

Plus you have to live with the fact that you had to pay for it. It's the YouTube equivalent of hookers.

People who buy views are usually trying to rank videos on YouTube for products, downloads, and services. Its a SEO tool just like website traffic is for websites. If you are buying views for a personal channel that has an audience, you're doing it wrong.
