I've been meaning to make business cards for myself too. Looks good! If you have a university print quota I'd print some fliers to post around on boards. Business cards I'd give out by hand if my channel comes out in conversation.

From a designer perspective: get rid of a typeface, it's a bit too busy. Also, what is the guy on the right doing? Because it looks like he's picking his nose (if that's the point than cool, if not I'd change the graphic a bit. Otherwise the colours are good, and composition overall works very well. Don't worry about people saying they'll not be useful. Networking is part of the game of being successful in any industry today
