Brackets aren't allowed in your description...

I'm a bit confused, partly because I have no idea how or WHY brackets could affect a YouTube description in any way shape or form... I was trying to make an example of html code for my description and BAM your settings could not be saved... Darn, anyone know why?

You would think they would use HTML entity codes instead of making it into literal HTML...[DOUBLEPOST=1387088975,1387088906][/DOUBLEPOST]
I still don't understand why the brackets can't be converted into entities

XSS for a mjority of websites is used for scripting which the bracket is a common use.

Why can't you just use parentheses? or ◄ ► ? ? they look like brackets but stand out more lol Alt 17 and alt 16

Anybody can use anything, up to unicode characters like ⋖ and ⋗, but the html codes < and > will make descriptions anybody can copy, paste, and use as valid html code, if that is the purpose. If you use something else, than you will have to manually fix all ⋖ and ⋗ to be < and >.
I guess if you need to post < or >, do it, even if costs you more typing at video creation time, because of all that matter is the convinience of your readers.
