Blender is fine. It's meant to be versatile and usable. I would use After effects. You can do super complex stuff but it is also very good for simple things . I use a XP-Pen Deco 01 graphic drawing tablet for everything, and I'm a lot faster because of it. I use it while modeling, painting, creating and editing splines, and just about everything else.
