Best screen capture software

Can anyone recommend a screen capture software. I currently use fraps but I cant record my desktop screen for some reason.

I think there is a setting to make fraps record desktop, try googling it

Yes you can in fact record your desktop. There's a button you have to check off, I forget which one it is, though.

Use Bandicam.

Actually Fraps isn't the best. Action is the best, so many more features and records with 0 lag... the file size is also like 1/2 of Fraps and to top it of it cost money So ya other then that Fraps is the best.
