Best PC recorder for gaming?

I am looking for a PC recorder for gaming. I have used FRAPS in the past but the file size is just too big and is a bother when I have to render it. Any advise?

I prefer using fraps. You can try dxtory. It's simmilar to fraps.

DxTory is pretty much the best software to record gameplay as far as I know, and I've tried quite a few other ones. DxTory plus the Lagarith Codec is great.

If your pc runs Nvidia gpu then suggest using Shadowplay, many options on it.

Completly forgot about Shadowplay, my laptop has it and I haven't properly tried it yet.. Does it allow you to do dual audio recording?

You can select either in game sound or ingame and mic, i think all is written into one file, but do not know for sure.

I use Bandicam & have never had any issues with it.

I use Fraps and then batch encode all of my files in Adobe Media Encoder to something more usable. You can then delete the originals. To be honest I would recommend this workflow for video footage shot on a camera too since live compression on any camera/program will be massive!
