Best Mic for Gaming Commentary

Hey guys, what I want to know is what is the best mic for gaming commentary, I have been told about blue yeti and blue snowball, but have been told they pick up too much background noise. I have been told that the microsoft livechat XL-3000 (look it up on amazon) was a very good mic? What do you guys think. Any suggestions? Any advice comment below.
Thanks

The Blue Yeti and Snowball are FABULOUS. Those who have had problems simply don't know how to use them, or have used them in very noisy environments.

^ These guys use the YETI

^ This guy uses the SNOWBALL

As you can tell, fantastic mics. Having a pop filter helps with noise and any breathing sounds etc.

That headset mic is cheap as balls, it sounds terrible. Too much popping and it's a bit muffled. If you want a headset get a Turtle Beach PX21 or 22 headset (I use the 21), it's AMAZING.

I own a Blue Snowball iCE, and it is fantastic! I haven't had a single problem with background noise :) Plus it's only $50 so it's well worth it.
The Yeti is amazing as well, from what I have heard, and I've never heard problems about background noise there either.

As for PewDiePie, he uses the Samson C01U

Also the Turtle Beach x11 work fantastic if you need a multipurpose mic

I've heard great things about the Blue Yeti. I think the people opposed to it don't realize you have to set the mic to pick up noise directly in front of it. And your air conditioner can't be running at full blast... That would mess it up a bit. So yeah, both of those mics are actually amazing.

We use the Blue Yeti most of the time and it's really excellent quality. You need to fiddle with the settings for a while to get it perfect but it's worth spending that extra time for the extra quality. Sometimes we use the Tritton AX720s (the 2012 model) and while it isn't as good as the Yeti it's still decent quality for a 120 pound headset.

I've used a Blue Yeti for roughly six months. It really is great quality. I also hear the Blue Snowball is a great quality mic as well if you didn't want to spend quite as much cash. I would recommend either of those if you're looking for a USB mic!
