Um, if you're looking for a camera that has 'good zoom', I really don't think that you ought to be purchasing a camera at this price range as they often offer interchangeable lenses, many of which don't offer the ridiculous 70x zoom of some entry level cam recorders these days.
But seriously, have a look at a Blackmagic, small affordable-ish, discreet and if you have all the right gear, it should be great
