If you constantly concentrating efforts on trying to be original, you are just going to be discouraged. Being original is not something you try to do, it's something you've already had in your own mind.
Do what you want. In fact I encourage you to watch other youtubers that have inspired you, and watch what they do to translate some things that you feel make them successful into your own work. They are successful for a reason. You don't have to re-invent the wheel.
Take things that they do well, and put your own spin on them; that way you are doing something that works, as well as being "original". You're smart enough to know what blatant copying is.
