In my opinion being a perfectionist is a good thing, It shows you're audience that you put in time and effort when making you're videos and it shows that you actually care about the quality of video you produce. If you want any advice i'd say carry on what you're doing, In The long run you're subscribers/viewers are going to appreciate the sort of effort you put into YouTube!

Well what I always do before I post a video is watch it and think to myself that if this was made by a random stranger would I then enjoy it. If it does then i'll upload it and if it doesn't then I look what could be improved and then do the same process over again. And if I didn't enjoy it yet again then it is time for the trash can.

There is simply no perfection. It's a waste of emotions (leading to disappointment) and waste of time to pursue it. How can you not be disappointment in a goal that doesn't exists in reality? Being excellent is a reachable goal. Doing your very best is a fantastic ambition. Having fun and being fairly good at something also has its benefits. :)

After my first video I tried to step back from my videos and view it as a stranger "if I wouldn't view them why would anyone else?". In theory it worked as I enjoy watching my own videos which is a very nice feeling.

I suppose like most things it will come with time; the more I create, the more I will begin to learn what is the best to do etc. I'm having a lot of fun creating videos at the moment and I know that's the best thing that can happen!

Yeah actively listening to feedback and enjoying creating video's can really help improve your channel! Keep up the good work. I'd suggest you though to talk a bit clearer and be a bit more enthusiastic, also you seem to be a bit shy ( which can explain the enthusiasm impression I get from you ), don't be afraid ,the microphone won't bite.

i dont think there is anything wrong with it i think sometimes you have to drive yourself to being a perfectionist to get the best effort and output of your content

It takes me about 4 hours to edit 2-3 minute videos.

It's worth it in the long run when you look back at them and say "Wow, I edited that awesomely!"
