Been creating for a month, would love some feedback!

You may think you want my accent. You really don't
I currently have 27 subscribers and just over 1000 views, but I haven't really gained anything in the past week or so. I have a couple of videos scheduled, but I'd love some feedback on my current ones as well :)

Here comes the full channel review! Remind that all of this is my opinion and ment as feedback :)

Your avatar is fine but your banner is below average, it doesn't really grab any attention, you should consider creating a new one or letting someone create a new one!
Your editing still is good, you cut out the non-important stuff and you stick to the goal of your video, which is nice!
Then which I would call the worst thing which you really might want to improve, the video and audio quality, the quality of the video is not so good, it has black bars, your audio seems a bit duzzled. You might want to get yourself a better camera which can record 720p and which does have a decent microphone in it.

That's all for now, so just to get to a conclusion, you are going the right way but you might want to work on your equipment :)

Yes I would say the same - video quality (HD) needs to be acquired via your video editing software/camera. The black bars appear due to the dimensions of your camera output not being 16:9 (for HD this would be 1280x720. So many people complain about this so it is an almost must to have. Audio needs to be crisper, it can be a turn off
Your banner needs to be a bit more creative and show off your channel. :)

Thank you :) Unfortunately the only equipment I have is a digital camera, and I record audio using Audacity on my laptop. I would love to be able to splash out on better equipment, but I'm currently about to move to Spain for a year so money is a bit tight (I have looked into the blue snowball/yeti and they're both outside my budget) but if either of you have any recommendations I'll look into them.

I'll see if I can work on a banner, a friend actually made my current one for me because the one I had before was simply made in Paint :')

Thanks again for the tips!

Ahh I see, budgeting can be an issue. I have the Blue Yeti microphone and its a great buy if you can get it. A friend of mine also uses the snowball so I can say they are both good

I have the Samsung Go Mic and it works rather well. It's currently 38$ on Amazon right now with free shipping.

I'm curious what program you use for making thumbnails though. The text can be a bit hard to read on some of them. If you don't have it already, I recommend downloading GIMP. It's free and open source :D It's pretty on par with Photoshop for a lot of features too.

(I just use Paint for thumbnails lol oops) I've downloaded paint.net now though so I'm going to give that a go, because I've never understood Gimp

Good luck with it! I hope it works out for you :) I don't use GIMP either, it is a rather tricky program to figure out xD

Oh also I literally just found the setting on my camera to make it 720p, so that issue will be fixed as soon as I film my next video now ;)
