Aussie YouTube Event?!

Why are there no YouTube events down under? I mean, we had ONE s****y one last year, they had a few big names but it was unorganized and poop.

I don't see there isn't, we have quite a few large Australian YouTubers but we're expected to fly over to freakin' America to meet up with our fellow 'Tubers! :o

An event down here could work, I'd even thought about trying to host one myself but.. I don't have the connections and/or cash to make it happen.

Australia misses out on a lot of cool events that the US gets. It took a while before we even got PAX down here. Luckily it was so successful that we're getting it again.

It's really s**t that we don't, we have a lot of awesome and talented creators who aren't being fully recognized because Australia gets no exposure. We're still up and coming to the YouTube scene, but I feel that one day we will have something down here.

A few companies have tried to create events, but none are too successful.

Yeah it doesn't help with our internet. Also if you wanted to join servers with some of the top YouTubers you couldn't due to high ping. I tried to play on a server LordMion777 was on, not to meet him because it was a PvP server and I knew I'd get killed but it would have been to find his community (as nuts as they were). The problem, 200+ ping lol I would also point out that I barely know any good top youtubers in Australia, well maybe HowToBasic but I don't watch his stuff, it's pretty ridiculous. lol On a side note too, even if we had a YouTube event, I wouldn't go. It wouldn't benefit me in anyway and none of my friends would go. I'll be going to PAXAus though, got a 3 day pass.

If we had an event that maybe showcased some of the big 'tubers, but they also selected like 10 "upcoming" channels to be featured then I would probably go, especially if I was selected.

I think it'd be an interesting experience.
