Audio track question

I Love YTtalk
I'm looking for a program that's just for audio editing. Sony vegas pro, automatically separates your audio tracks into to several files, that separate you friends voices and music. I'm curious if anyone knows of any audio editing software that does this?

Audacity is a good and simple to use one.

Edit: Actually, I misunderstood the question, I don't believe it's good for that purpose.

essentially when you have one file it would take that file and individually pull the tracks out of the file that are different voices and music. Sony vegas pro does this but I've no idea what the feature is to look for it. but basically if you had 2 music tracks playing in the back ground and 3 people talking, it would separate into five tracks out of one file.

Ah, sorry then, can't really be of much help. Didn't even know Sony Vegas Pro had that sort of feature... Best thing I could recommend is having your friends record their own voices and send it to you after the recording.

That wouldn't really help my purpose though, I'm mainly looking for it to be able to edit copyright strikes out without harming the overall quality of the video. A friend of mine does it with sony vegas pro but I didn't really want to spend that kind of cash right now XD but i'll probably end up breaking down if I can't find the software :P

But thanks for the attempt mate ^.^
