Audio Cleanup/ Audio software? help?

Hey everyone so I wanted to start recording my game videos but the audio seems to have an undesirably high "S" sound. now i use a C01U mic and audacity to record and i do have a De-Esser but i really don't know how to use it. does anyone have any tips on cleaning it up or some software of some sort?

Try Audacity it is free and works good. I don't really know how to use it too well but I know you can do a lot with it.

If you use the Adobe Creative Cloud then it comes with Adobe Audition, which I know nothing about, but it is professional and if you are paying for whole Creative Cloud thing you might as well use it.
 
I would recommend checking out The Recording Revolution or Homestudiocorner on youtube, and search for Desser on their channel. I guarantee you will learn something!
 
Hey man. I got the C01U and just used it today!

I've used my friend's C01U before and loved it. He had the pop shield and I never needed to clean up. The video I did today, I never cleaned up either and with the background music, it sounds great. Ohh yeah and I also used audacity before it's fast and quick.
 
No I still haven't got one. I was quiet far from the mic itself. It was on my table. The settings might help though. I had it at 100% and syncing it was straightforward too. I did start the recording the audio before the video but it was still okay to sync.
