It sounds like it could just be the headphones having a bad connection. Regardless, I'm not sure of your exact process but if you export (not save as a project) the cleaned up Audacity audio to its own audio file and then add that file to your Premiere project it should be fine. I don't see how static could be readded to the file once it has been cleaned out.
thats what i have been doing but for my intro bit especially it isnt working, oh well ill just have to do the best i can, at least i cant say i didnt try if it didnt work
As long as you are doing your best that is what counts. Keep tinkering with it in other videos and you might figure out the problem or learn something else that could help.
When I first started with my video editing program the learning curb felt so steep I didn't think I would ever figure out it. A few headaches and many attempts later it started making sense and doing what I wanted it to do. That was more than a year ago now and I'm still learning new things about the editing process every time.
