Attractive YouTubers???

Does your attractiveness help you get views and subscribers? Or do you think that is completely irrelevant?

Comment it UP! What ya Think???

Well, Im far from attractive, but it does seem to help.

Seen stories on these forums and visited pages with pretty faces and no content with dumbfounded number of views and subs.

Again. Ads sell, sex sells. As much as we want people with a good sense of comedic wit to watch, there are alot more teenage boys willing to stare at boobs and faces dispite what they are listening too.

My dogs are "pretty" and "beautiful", so I think that helps. I'm just a man. I think my pups are attractive and have funny personalities, so I think that helps.

Literally laughed out loud when I read this, hahaha good points

It depends on your definition for attractive, if swamp trolls are considered attractive then maybe I should put myself on cam!

But in all seriousness, Your personal beauty does effect how many people you can grab but really it's more of a question of what
kind of an audience you want to have. If you want to be recognized for your content or just your features. Retention would also
be a factor here, even though you maybe attractive, if you can't entertain your audience you won't be able to keep them long.
Not to say that it doesn't help, it would be easier to hold an audiences attention if you're good looking and have a talent
for entertaining people.

bahahaha swamp troll, I laughed.... hahaa but all good points you make, I agree

It actually bothers me that one of the earliest videos I ever did, which was horrible quality (filmed on the built-in web cam of my laptop) and in which I stuttered a lot, was generally boring and didn't yet know how to edit, got WAY more views from random people than almost any of my much better videos since. And after scratching my head and analyzing and comparing the title, keywords I used, etc. etc. I could only conclude that it was because I was slimmer at the time and the lighting, though bad, kind of flattered my face, which I used as a thumbnail. So I tend to agree that yes--sex does sell--but I will say that I appreciate my current viewers on my new channel a lot more because they comment more, the regulars are subscribers, and they're in it for the content, not to leave banal comments like "you're so pretty" and never come back. :)

I Strive to entertain those around me, so thanks for laughing ^.^

You can use anything to your advantage if you put enough thought in it, be it native to you or learned outside of you. Just remember to never be to
over confident or to reserved! Also don't use a web cam if you look like a swamp troll, unless you're doing a strange creatures of the world, then totally do it!
