Attracting more traffic

What would you say are some of the best ways to get traffic to your channel and hopefully some subscribers. I found that using a appropriate subreddit can generate views and will get the right audiance to your channel. Only problem can be that some people think your fishing for views. Like to see more opinions on this.

That's exactly how I use it while asking for comments on the video itself. I think it also depends on the type of video as gameplay videos seem to get more attention then other videos. Thanks for your comment.

Any social media can help as long as you use it correctly. Most places really hate the sub4sub type of attitude, but when you go in to their community and add quality to the conversations and such people will like you and will be more likely to check out your videos. Much like this community.

What I've put in bold I feel is important for any social media site you post on! People will just flick right past you. Pretty much like people do if you post up that 'I know most people will ignore this...' on youtube comments.

I don't think I personally come off as to needy as I mostly just state what the video is and ask for some critic but I can understand why this is the biggest point as I have seen it some many times myself.

In my opinion, make a large volume of videos to show your viewers that you have something to show them. Once you have a decent amount of videos, advertise your life away. The goal is to give the audience an endless amount of videos to where they keep coming back.
