ATR2500 or Samson Go Mic ?

Hi,

I plan to buy a USB mic for recording my voice. Has anyone used any of the above two? Samson Go Mic is cheaper and more portable but it seems like unless you put it near your mouth, the audio volume will be really low in cardioid mode (and omni mode will pick lots of background noise). ATR2500 however works pretty well in a far distance with low background noise (I basically looked at reviews of these two on Youtube).

Please advise. Also feel free to suggest other mic in the same price range but offer better (I will limit my my budget to 70$. And no I do not like the look of Blue Snowball lol). Thanks :)

I use a ATR2500 and I have to be reeeally close for it to have a consistant sound. I have found it picks up a fair amount of background noise. Maybe mine is broken

Edit: ignore me. I have an atr2020.

Really ? Since people say atr2020 is comparable to Blue Yeti, which is regarded as the best USB mic out there.

Yeah, dont get me wrong, once you have it set up right it sounds great. My problem is I have insanely loud background noise. I think its more 'if you know what your doing, its a great mic' and I just haven't quite found the correct settings since Im new.
