Are You Shy About Making Videos?

I Love YTtalk
I don't mean like camera shy, but shy of other people watching you film what you are filming... For example, I felt a bit weird when I went to the dog park with my GoPro attached to my dog's back, but most of the people there already know me as the GoPro guy so most of their reactions were like "oh how cool!" People who didn't know me were like "What the hell is that???" I got over it and now that first dog cam video is nearing 40k views, so it was worth it to me!

My girlfriend looks at me like I'm a body builder dancing around in a ballerina suit with a crack pipe when I'm doing some of my videos, but I have gotten used to it lol. BUT then the other day she came home to this in the pictures below... I did feel a bit awkward with this setup, but oh well! I made sure to block the light switch so she couldn't shut it off on my setup!

I have basically come to the conclusion that I can care less what others think most of the time, it's something I like to do!

So do you ever face the awkward feeling, or do you just get over it and film on???

If I know someone can hear me in the other room while I'm working on a voice over, I have to stop and wait for them to leave. Though I don't have a problem with possibly thousands of others hearing it in the video. Not sure what to call that.

Idk if I've ever witnessed this look before, so if we could get a picture to explain :D jk jk

I definitely started off really shy about recording. I couldn't do it with anybody around. But I have been doing it for awhile now so I feel a lot more comfortable :)

This is sorta true! We were filming once with my sister sitting close by watching us. It felt like somebody was judging me!!! lol

i don't have a problem with people watching me when im recording my video's (if they are quiet)
but idd ratter not show my video's to (most) people of my school because they are d*** :)

I don't know how I'd be if I was in high school about sharing stuff, but I share my videos with friends, family, and even people at work. It was funny, I shared my ostrich race video with somebody at work and I guess my stun gun to the tongue video was a suggested video, she came up and told me I was crazy. I was like "what, for filming ostrich racing" and then she laughed and was like "no, the stun gun to your tongue video, why would you do that?!" I was like "Well, I'm me, what else would you expect???"

I refuse to make videos in front of family or where they can hear me. Even if I'm not in the shot. I just don't like how they always ask me what I'm done, what I'm filming, why I'm filming it..

I'd be more okay with people watching me record videos than me watching them watch my videos xD I mean, I'm just drawing, no big deal, but when I add the commentary later for some, that's when it gets awkward @3@
