Are video intros really important?

Do you have a video intro?

I Love YTtalk
I tried having one, and it didn't feel comfortable. I have a variety channel of gaming, vlogs, and sometimes art. I believe an intro would be nice, if my channel was just for gaming, or just for art.

Can you all understand where I'm coming from on this?

On my normal let's plays I don't have any intro. On my weekly/monthly shows I have an intro :)

Nah, if you don't have a really good one (and I'm talking real good, and short), they will just look s**t. Also if they are on letsplays, they will draw attention away from your commentary/gameplay. Bingewatching series is really annoying when you have to watch an intro every single time.

I've said it before, I'm anti-intro! There are some places I don't mind them though in a montage, a trailer, or any other sort of edit they work very well. In just everyday videos (vlogs, lets plays, etc.) I want to just jump into the video.

I feel like it matters on the channel making the content. Lets say someone is just doing a walkthrough of a game probably no intro but if they are doing something special then get an intro

The most I do now is a little outro pic with the usual "Like, comment subscribe" stuff. I believe that is enough. (Until I can add music of course)

I feel it depends.

I feel nearly all videos should have an introduction. Not necessarily a premade "intro". Coming from a gaming channel perspective.

And if it's going to be a premade intro, it better be something memorable. Not some 3d Text in after effects with a light flare..

Game Grumps and KYR_SP33DY both have excellent intros.
