Are There Any Good Free Editing Software

I have used Microsoft Movie Maker and it is good for very simple things but I'm starting to do a lot more editing then I did before. If you could please tell me some free editing software that would be good for gaming I would really appropriate it.
 
personally, I'd use your default microsoft movie maker till you can afford something like sony vegas or camtasia studios... I work with camtasia, but heard good things about SV as well...its got more bells and whistles then camtasia but...I'll stick with what I have been using for years.

I was just hoping to find one so I could do a lot more precise editing then what microsoft movie maker can do.
 
I understand, some people would suggest an alternative route...but I say save up some cash and buy some software, I did and I feel better about doing then just using standard windows movie maker...
 
That's what I'm going to do but I wanted to find a free editing software that I would be able to use until I get the money to get a really good software.
 
Hi. You are already using win movie maker and its one of the best free softwares, if not the best. Im not sure you can do much better without spending money at this point. But if you want a cheap solution for now until you can get a really good software, look into buying an older version of sony vegas or premiere on ebay or perhaps a used computer store. Sure it may not be the newest version, but it will still be a major upgrade from any free software, and it will be cheap. Just make sure it can handle and output in the video quality you wish to use. Ok then I'll just wait. I just thought that a there was a free editing software out there that did a little more then windows movie maker.

There is so much things you can do with WMM, Just that it takes alot of time to learn and discover the possibilities.
All of my Videos I edit with WMM and Noone realize it.

But if still want to change to other editing software, you can try Lightworks or Camtasia.
