Are subs important?

Which would you rather have - more subs or higher video views?

Maybe it depends upon the type if channel you have? For example, I like to review gadgets etc and find subs are important since that's what companies tend to look at when sending you items to review, I think. I've had some companies come back to me saying they need a specific number of subs before they send units out etc.

However, partners obviously make money from views rather then subs. I have a much higher view count on my channel. Which would you say is more important?

Well with more subs maybe your new videos will get more views in shorter time.

Subs in my opinion, more subs = more people actually like your content which means greater views. (unless its a one time funny video)

I think views are super important, but a healthy subscriber to view ratio shows a committed audience and steady viewership. So, subs are important, because they lead to repeated views.... does that make sense? As you say though, it definitely depends on the channel type. For how to's and stuff where people are searching specifically for certain information, it probably doesn't matter as much when it comes to the sub count.

in the gaming community, there seems to be a focus on views; but that tends to be because so many channels try to go straight for partnership. The more time I've spent on here the less bothered I become about either statistic. It's fun, thats what matters to me.

Subs are especially important to me personally, because that means they want to watch my show every week, they are truly interested in what I'm doing. Money-wise, it's views. That's just the bottom line.

I watch both stats somewhat closely and I feel like I care much more about subscribers than I used to. Someone subscribing tends to mean they like what I've done, likely on several occasions, rather than just that they clicked on my video once.

Do you think there is any correlation with regards to subs and views on a channel?
Some seem to have tons of views, with fewer subs, while some are the complete opposite!

Subs hands down. With more subs comes more views, more subs means they are more likely to tell a friend about your channel to get another sub = more views. Plus i would rather have 30 loyal people who really like my content, than 3000 views and no subs
