Any way to change the related channels?

My YouTube channel is in English and is a gaming channel. However the bar on the side shows different language channels(see picture). I'm afraid that YouTube is recommending me to people who don't care about my videos. When I had a bar full of channels related to mine I was gaining subscribers and views. However, now I am not. When I started my channel it was giving these recommendations. Then it switched to related channels. And now it's for some reason back to these random channels. Somebody please help me!

Honestly, that whole related channels thing doesn't even share you, considering your size. It's basically just to share bigger YouTubers around xD At least that's just what I've seen from my experience.

You could just disable them, they probably aren't related, however there is that "featured channels" box above them, you can do what you want with that one

Related channels are targeted to individual users based on channels they've visited, videos they view all the time or have viewed in the past. It also displays channels similar to yours or in the same genre usually. Featured channels is the only 1 you need to worry about. Don't worry about related channels.

No, if you do this, YouTube prevents you from ever being in the related channels section on other channels. While the system doesn't help smaller YouTuber's as much, it's better to have that chance there than not at all.

I don't think youtube will consider looking at having him in that section unless he gets like 1k subs or so, he doesn't at the moment so he won't really need that

I noticed that when I had channels that were related to mine I was gaining 1-2 subscribers a day and more views on every video. I think YouTube was recommending my channel and videos. Now with the new people in my box I haven't gained anything in 2 weeks.
