They are most likely saying 'Nice video' because they want to lure you into their channel. Im not saying your content is bad, But thats the way most of those self advertisers are :/ Yeah the other people are making fair points, But it just annoys the crap out of me because i've spent time building my channel up and they are just using it to promote themselves rather than actually watching and enjoying my content :/

As others have said, put some calls to action (CTA) in the video, get maybe a little light controversy going with some opinions, that will get people to want to speak up more and engage. But at least you're getting "nice video" comments!

Thank you for the suggestions! Definitely going to try some CTA's!
 
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Part of the space I think. In time, there will hopefully be new arrivals who you can engage with that much more.
