And then,suddenly, a $14 click!

One of my videos got just 2 views yesterday, 1 of them was monetizable and that 1 view generated a click that made me $14 ($25 in gross revenue actually).
That's a $14 click!!
My average CPC is closer to $1 usually...
Is there ANY way I can learn anything from this click and maybe just possibly create more opportunities like that?
I guess that the click was on an advert that had loads of competition, but can I do ANYTHING rather than guess here?
Or maybe all I can do is thank god for the fluke and hope for more flukes like that in the future?

I made over $150 one day from just 7000 views, not sure how many clicks. I've never had another day like that.

Thank God for the fluke
Amen!

Did you have an insanely high cpc that day or an insane amount of clicks relative to your views?
I wonder how youtube really chooses what ad to show in what video.
I noticed that when I watch many videos on youtube - usually I get the same ads and they are totally irrelevant to the video itself. They ARE relevant to my previous searches though...I get the same ads in youtube videos and in website (whatever the subject is) which present adsense ads and these ads are always related to things that I search in google or write about in gmail regularly.
For example - when I was researching hosting companies trying to find the best one for my website for about 3 weeks - I saw ads for hosting companies WHEREVER I surfed. In news websites, in comedy website, in youtube videos about cats and in youtube videos about religion - it was ALL hosting companies ads!
So...If I know for example that ads for car insurance pay very good - should I try to create videos that talk about car insurance or rather try to get viewers who are interested in car insurance watch my videos regardless of the subject of the video (which I have no idea how to do)?
If I watch 10 videos about car insurance right now - none of the ads I'll get will be for car insurance... so is it possible at all to control the odds of a high paying ad showing in my videos?

It was most likely a fluke, I know if people click on the ad then you get a little bit more (someone said this to me, I'm not sure if I'm right.)

I have no idea what happened, but I wish I could make that happen every day.

What? I got $15 follar for 80K views. What are your AdSense settings? What kind of advertisements do you allow? And most important, were do most of your viewers come from?

It will have been a legitimate click. Remember, these ads are context sensitive to the viewer. If that viewer is shown an ad that is designed to make them likely to purchase something of high value, it certainly could have a high CPC value. Legal services for example tend to have a much higher cost per click as the return on investment to the advertiser is high. If you make $5-10K off of each client, then paying $15-$30 a click to get people who need your services to your website is peanuts.

There is little to no way to replicate this without knowing what ad was shown and YouTube doesn't provide you that information.

I don't use adsense, I'm with Fullscreen. The day it got that amount it had most of its views from being embedded on some animal rescue site. I'm not sure why the pay was so high for that one, they have posted a few of my videos and most of the time it's just a couple bucks for that amount of views. I wish I could figure out what happened and make it happen again lol. After plenty of research I still have no idea what happened.
