All around channels.

Hey guys, as an "all around channel" Which means I do a lot, gaming, vlogging, challenges, shows, and much more, I find it hard to keep things/videos organized, and sometimes for a reason, it makes me feel unorganized, should I make playlists to store all vlogs, and store some series of games in soe playlists?

Another question, do you think it is harder for all around channel to gain subscribers? If so, why or why not?
Are YOU an all around channel?
Do you feel unorganized?
Does it ever get you discouraged?

These are a lot of things that have been on my mind... Thanks guys!
Have a Craftin' Good day!

I guess I'm an "all around channel," but I do organize around three major things: long hair for men, 3 ingredient recipes, and an advice show of sorts called "George the Self Esteem Cat." It's a really weird set of things to focus on, but they make me happy. :) I also will throw in the occasional vlog about what I'm doing in theater or something else in my life, but I do keep to my three major categories.

I would definitely sort into playlists, because I do have viewers who only come for one sort of video (especially the hair videos), so I don't want them to have to hunt around for the content they want. I also keep to a strict schedule for each type of videos. Hair is on Tuesday, cooking on Thursday, and George is weekends.

I think it can be more difficult for these all around channels to gain subscribers, but so what? I would probably be bored to death if I kept to only one type of video, and the main reason I'm making videos is because it's fun for me. :)

Thanks for the help :) I do plan to get more into gaming, and have shows on the weekends (YouTubers Chat) and have vlogs and challenges mixed in say once a week or so, I will start sorting things into playlists :)

I've started to expand to this kind of channel, and have used playlists to keep things organized (feel free to take a look at what im doing). I have video game/let's plays as one playlist, i have disney specific videos (travel and chatting about the parks over disney games, as i love them) in anoher, and straight up vlogs (which ive just started releasing) in another. You want to make it as easy as possible for people to find the content they are there for, even if it's all very different. My next step is to set up a better schedule so that people can know, oh hey, Tuesdays are gaming videos and fridays are vlogs/travel/etc videos. Adding that information to the banner and your about helps as well.

I would definitely make dedicated playlists to these videos, and have a very set schedule for all of them! I do advice videos on Wednesdays, and other videos (vlogs, scripted videos, etc.) on Sundays! I also have very specific playlists so it's easy for my subscribers to find what they're looking for.

This would how I'd clean it up. Make separate playlists for each genre, then put them onto your channel in different rows so that they're easy to get too.

As an all rounder you'll probably see some series doing better than others since some will watch you for one thing and others for the different thing. I'd also recommend setting a timetable for when a video comes out. For example like you said Gaming on Monday-Wednesday and vlogs on Thursday-Friday. I'd say stick too a day for a genre otherwise if someones expecting one thing on a certain day and then it's something different they could be disappointed.

Good luck with it :)

If you are uploading VLOG, Gaming videos, challenges etc. Then you should definitely make a playlist for everyone. I know sometimes it looks unorganized but that's okay. I am not an ALL AROUND CHANNEL, but I play different games of similar genre, but I do make playlists for each game.

I am a gaming channel but I do alot of random stuff such as songs and sarcasm how to videos. They do not fit my channel and I'm actually throwing those out and only using them for special things, focusing on my gaming aspect!
