This happened 1month ago. I made a trailer. I let it calculate how mutch views i would get with $100. . It said:
14 days campaign
10 - 15K views.
$7.3 a day

6 days in or so i got 1K views and paid $37

Then i stopped the campaign.

Target: teenage, USA.

From this experience i have to say... don't ever do this.

Or i did a wrong strategie.

Correct me if i'm wrong

Well like they say, a strategy is only going to work if you utilize it properly. Of course, I haven't seen your trailer but that might be what the reason, the video may promoted in a lot of places but you're only going to receive the benefits if the trailer captivates the watcher effectively. Ask your self: If I was someone who had no idea what my channel was about, would I consider subscribing after watching this trailer?

It is all in the presentation. I don't have any ads running right now, but have been using it for months in past. On a $5-$10 spend per day, I'd net between 20-40 subscribers, a few comments and likes as well. If you were expecting to spend $7 per day, but spent $37, then you didn't set your max threshold per day. This is not a problem with Adwords.

I think there's a few different factors when it comes to the effectiveness of paid advertising.

YouTube is owned by Google so they have enormously complex algorithms that decide what ads show where, when, how many times, etc.

For how much you spent I definitly would've expected more views that you received though.

Is their any particular reason why you narrowed it down to teens in the USA? That combined with your content might have something to do with your low view numbers.

I'd be more than happy to take a look at your trailer and critque it for you if you'd like. Post a link here and I'll look it over :)

Always carefully plan out advertisements. And ensure that all ground is covered with google and yourself.

You also want to make sure that the trailer or the advertisement is well thought out and well made.
