Advice for another live stream?

So yesterday I had a 4 hour and 30 minute stream. It went very well and it's fun to look back at. Before the stream I had planned to use my Xsplit Broadcaster to stream on my Twitch. Unfortunately Twitch was giving me 401 errors and I stuck to my Youtube to broadcast, Which I found to work just as well and I gained some new subscribers along with more views on past videos. I have plans to do another hours long stream in the future but now I'm not sure what game I should play. What is better to use for streaming; Youtube or Twitch? Does anyone know how to fix a 401 error?

Hmm Twitch is actually pretty good since I don't even have a following on there but when I used to stream stuff random people would tune in a lot more. YouTube's stream relies on your subscribers seeing that your streaming or people searching for that video which may increase competition but it doesn't seem like it in your case. If your having problems with Xsplit you should use OBS it's completely free and let's you stream 1080P to twitch without having to pay for anything, you just have to make sure you set it up right. I'd say Twitch but if you have more luck on youtube streams then stick to the one you get more following from
