Advice and Tips

If you could say one thing to someone starting out in the YouTube biz, what would it be?
A warning?
A tip?
Just some advice?

Post it below, it would really help people starting out, just like me :)

Thanks,
Finn

Wow I just read that over. So cheesy.

Do it for the fun of it and the love of it. Don't do it for the views or hoping to get "big" on YouTube.
And always remember: quality over quantity.

Cheesy post, cheesy answer ;)

1: Make quality videos
2: Spend time learning about the market you are in (ex: learn about your audience, look at the trends, watch alot of you're "competitors" videos)
3: Have fun making your videos, if you are not having fun it'll show

Youtube is fun have fun tra la la la :3 eat lots of cake. don't get in the van unless he has good candy not that cheap brand crap. make sure you are wearing socks before you put on your shoes and don't forget to wash behind your ears. you are welcome :P <3

You need to be dedicated. We are currently attempting to pay all of our bills from our business and it is hard work but it is so worth it. If you have the patience and the motivation to pursue it then you very well can do it. You just need to be persistent and find something that you can offer that the other YouTubers cannot. If you can differentiate yourself from the rest you will continue to grow your business and you will find success.

As a small channel, don't try and compete head-on with the big channels at the beginning in terms of choice of content, but make sure you at least match them in terms of production quality. So make sure you are filming in HD and have great audio quality, but go after the niche subjects at the beginning and don't bother with the big hitting subjects which are saturated with competition.

My advice to you and all other small channels is to make your videos personal and unique because there are a lot of people that just copy what they see on bigger channels. For example, I started watching Pewdiepie's channel a few months ago and noticed that a lot of the people that were promoting themselves on his feed made videos almost exactly like his but with way lower quality (quality is also very important). The same jokes, the same games, just very slight changes. You should always try to have your own special brand of awesome in your videos. BE YOURSELF. Also, don't get discouraged from small amounts of views and subs since those will come with time if people think you're worth watching, and take dislikes as a helpful thing. The question "why did they dislike my video" can help you to make your videos better as you learn what people enjoy watching, and as a small channel you are blessed with not having (or barely having) any trolls in your comments. Good luck to all you new youtubers!
