Advertising Like So

I've Got It
So I saw people advertise there gaming videos on "SkyDoesMinecraft" or the other Crafted YouTubers.

And right now I have partaken in this shameful form of advertising. But just for now.

But anyways, I've seen these people get 100 subs in a single day just by posting this spam. And I saw another guy get 500 subs in 3 days. Which is freaking insane.

So I'm asking, you think it's right for people to shamelessly advertise like this. I don't think it's right, even if I am being a hypocrite.

What are your thoughts?
 
I personally can't stand it. You work hard on a video only for some chum to come along and just spam all over your video trying to profit off your view-base? No. That's like sticking your poster up for free on top of a poster that has paid to put there's up. You know?
 
Personally id rather have people who find my stuff and want to sub. Rather than have it hammered at them or stuck in there face. Small advertising like having your video in your signature is ok. But spamming sites or in boxing people doesn't get an audience that actually enjoys your content so in the long run people who are spamming are not actually gaining anything.

I feel hypocritical even more! :(
And this is where I feel bad. And because of the fact that I was frustrated that I did that. But it's only going to once. I'm never going to do it again. :(

But yeah it frustrates me and small advertising like signature is better. :)
 
I really don't like it, but what bothers me more is that people do grow from it. Many of us stick to our ground and plod on, doing the bit of advertising we can. While some guy who spams his channel on every other video gets all the attention... :stomp:

Honestly, I actually would like to help them. Unless they're content is not as good as those who try their best.
But I'd try to help them because the YouTube generation is only looking at sub boxes, so how else would the smaller YouTubers get known. Through advertising obviously.

I get so frustrated with it. So that's why I tried it out. Because of the frustration. But it was a terrible decision. I'm not going to do it again.


And that is why I posted this thread. To see people's views on it.
 
I, like most, tried it one time on a video (back when I didn't know much about it all). The response I got was literally 'bad dog, go and sit in your corner'.

I giggled at the comment, but it wasn't appreciated that I'd done it. And I haven't done it since!
