Seriously, I submitted two videos that were exactly the same (i.e., both contained live pokemon showdown matches, though of course they were different matches) for adsense monetization, and one was monetized while the other "required more proof of commercial use rights" or whatever it is they say to you. Both videos had extensive commentary. So I guess it was the monetization bot having a "brain" fart? Or something?
 
I hate this kind of stuff. I've been denied monetization on one of my videos on the grounds of copyrighted music - the video has absolutely no music in it.

Goddammit YouTube.
 
I have had several videos flagged as matching 3rd party content bla bla.. Where it tells me what song im using that im not allowed to use.. Always the same song..
And that song is NOT in any of my videos. Never even heard it before this started happening. The music in my video sounds nothing like the song im being "accused" of using.

So yea, im gonna go right ahead and say that the system that flags stuff is pretty messed up.
 
Monetization system is pretty much ****** up. That's why it is better to sacrifice % of your earnings and join network.

But will YouTube's crappy bot still be doing all the checking even when you're with a network? I read that one thread about this but I was unclear on the exact implications...
 
I was surprised too when I read the thread there :( that's why my network is all about copyright policy 'cause of that... November 18? I believe
