A new first for negative comments

We all get the odd negative comment from time to time, and I had one the other day I must share, just to show how shallow and weak some of these people are.

I did a video showing how to grind with a pencil air die grinder and got plenty of likes (over 1,000 hits).

Then I get a comment from a know it all type guy telling me that it was unsafe to use an unshielded grinder as it could take out an eye if something went wrong.

I pointed out to him (and all other readers) that you should always wear safety glasses when using grinding equipment regardless of whether it is shielded (has safety guards) or not. Don't get a response.

Next I get a negative thumbs down (the only one). Dismissed it as the same dude.

Weeks later I'm reviewing the comments and I see the guy that gave me the negative has actually deleted his comment, which of course deletes mine.

How weak is that? What a complete and utter loser.

These dudes can dish it out but they can't take it - Lol. I just laughed my head off.

I'm glad to say that 99.99% of my viewers are sensible people with some knowledge of what they are looking at, and can discuss things in a rational manner. I can handle criticism if it's warranted.

Well maybe not for you, but in 900,000 views that's the first time anyone has deleted their comment on my channel.

Every one else has the guts to stand by their postings, be they right or wrong.

Probably the nature of your videos drives more civil types but I mean, a guy told me I made the videos that caused him to want to kill people and rape children once. Another guy once put KILL YOURSELF on one of my videos but he put it there like 10 times. Telling you you're being unsafe and then deciding he was wrong and deleting his comment isn't really... even all that low. Kind of cowardly I guess but... I dunno.. just not what I was expecting I suppose.

I guess it really is all about perspective. When I first got a negative comment on youtube it REALLY messed with me. Now people can be like "DIE FAGGET DIE!!!" And Im just like "Well aren't you just a peach ;)" LOL So yea if it wasn't usual for you then I can imagine it would seem like a bigger deal.
