...an option that makes it so people can't reply directly to a comment you made to a video. Like, an option to DISABLE it completely. Dunno how many times I've commented on a video, "Cute video!" and I get a bunch of spam in my email from trolls saying, "dis video isghey n so r u". Wish I could comment on a video without being attacked by bitter bored folks. Sure they could say "@chacenobody blah blah blah" but idgaf because with SO much content out there I rarely re-watch videos. :)


What do you think?
 
Well, trolls are gonna troll no matter what but 98% of troll comments are spur of the moment, twitch reaction things to look cool. If you just take away the "reply" button then they'll be like AGGGH-troll feeling passes-ok gonna troll another easier victim. Cowards always take the easiest route.

I WISH I didn't get comments on my replies! I just got one between the time I posted this and now. I wrote, "This song used to scare me when I was younger, lol" and someone wrote, "wow were u absued as achild lolo" I lol'd but still it was pretty stupid. I never reply to comments I get but still. People need lives.
 
Yes but then what about the majority of people that actually want to reply to a comment... Can't? If we removed the comment button surely the trolls would win the 'battle' and be victorious,
 
Nah, I meant have it as a personal option, not a site-wide option... so I could disable it because if someone has something to say then they can send a message. Most trolls won't even go that far. If someone else doesn't mind ignorant replies then they can keep their reply button.

I wouldn't take what people say online, as an insult... They're people you're likely not going to see... Ever... So don't get caught up in it. It's kind of pointless.
