75,000 views over night and not even $1?

What RedFox said; Analytics lags 2 days in average. Congrats on your 75k view injection. That alone is an accomplishment :D. there should be more than 1 dollar for that but don't expect much. You can probably buy a good meal at your local MacDonalds with that :D

I think the algorithm is very cautious with such sudden traffic spikes and prefers not to monetize them or just to use some generic ads with 0.01$ per click revenue.

This is the first thing that I thought as well. While I don't have any proof, it would certainly make sense that Google protects advertisers from people gaming the system.

@thederp
I would think that if you get sustained growth that your earnings will improve. The problem that Google is dealing with is people cheating the system with bots and spiking views artificially.

Turned out I made 35$ on 90k views, which seems way under. If I look at my average which is around 5k views a day i usually make around 30-50 a day...so thats what puts me off. Though, probably the one in question wasn't something advertisers were interested in bidding on for the title or keywords? I don't know...either way still got loads of new subs and the extra views should bump up the video.

35 bucks on 90k man, geez you can only get a steak dinner for that much, people like me only get a bag of hot cheetos on sale

Are you sure thats 35$ for all 90k views? Or just 35$ since the last time youtube checked?

Adsense takes A FREAKIN WHILE to update. Trust me, you made something and YouTube analytics can only guesstimate, if you wait a couple days or a few, you should get something you can measure.

That's $0.38 CPM. Granted that's VERY low, but not impossible. I've had videos hover around $0.10 CPM before. It's really hard to make decent money on YT...

I generally wait until the 15th of each month to check how much money I made. i feel like AdSense is super slow in calculating revenue

I really would like to know where this goes. Keep us updated please if anything changes about the ad revenues! :)

Just monetizing wont do the job. You need a Network (fullscreen,Maker Gen,machinima) and enter your data to send the money to . Some networks only work with paypal some with others. They collect the money and at the end of the month you will get it (if its above the minimum amount)

Another way is google adsense. Make a google adsense account and enter your details where the money should go to. And connect it to youtube!
