71% tablet/mobile views

It is a growing segment for sure. What category do you think that falls under? Unknown? Computer? TV?

The streaming crowd will be listed under mobile. It's a third party app on the Ipad or other mobile device that streams to the TV.

That said, some people use their laptops for the same purpose. I'm not sure how smart TV's show though.

For the last 28 days we're at 69% mobile devices for our views and 64% for minutes watched. 30% computer for views and 34% for computer minutes watched.

Interesting how mobile phone and tablet view times are significantly less than computer view times, but it makes sense--many people start watching a video on a tablet or phone are more likely to be doing something else that will distract them, like being in public.

Those are some nice average view durations, Mark! No mystery to your success!

The above stats were just for one video. I just checked my Last 28 days stats on my whole channel.

Tablet 43%
Computer 30%
Mobile phone 25%
Unknown 1%
TV 1%
Game console .7%

I never clicked the 'Operating System' tab before. Too much info so here's a screenshot

That's an odd choice. You can stream to Chromecast from mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs...

I'm sure that Google wouldn't pile numbers under a category which artificially inflates their own properties. Or would they...

I am a tablet user myself, I do most of my video watching on mine with it being so portable and the screen size is still decent. Those are some awesome stats Mark :D

We're going to need more mobile ads..
Ironically almost every video I have watched on my phone has had an ad though.. so I'm guessing CPM/RPM will still be doing ok even with all those mobile views. Or I'm just an ad magnet.
