5K Subs, Uploading almost daily, Views PLUMMETING?? HELP!!

Could be anything that your views are down. People are busy with other things, or maybe some of your video's are de-ranked in search results?

I would say you have 2 problems, first, you made 6 videos in 8 months and then got active again. Second, you changed all of your video titles.

Yeah @TinHatRanch, I initially had no interest, or idea about being a full time publisher, I started on YT as a way to host all my "how to" videos for my blog without using my hosting or S3 bandwidth. Hence, no idea about timely and consistent uploading. The title change I thought would help them be more relevant and found easier, I've realize in hindsight it wasn't a smart move, I hadn't heard if it would have negative effects...do you have any specific info on the good/bad of changing titles? Thanks!

I'm not sure. And in the big picture it might help you to change the titles.

I wanted to update this thread in case anyone stumbles across it with the same problem. I had reported earlier that I pulled out of the nose dive...this was half true, I had basically leveled off, but was still sagging. However, I'm happy to report I finally figured it out and it seems, finally views are ...s l o w l y... creeping back up. IT WAS THE THUMBNAILS. I had wrongly interpreted the advice from the yt playbook that custom thumbnails were the end all be all of increase ctr vs a basic screen grab thumbnl. Nope. Not if they're a boring 2d, 2 color basic logo with unreadable text and aren't exciting or grab your viewers attention, that's for DAMN sure.

And of course with google (we all know that's who YT is, right?) it's REAL easy to break your rankings with anything they index (sites, videos, channels, etc, etc), but when you fix sh*t, it will come back up, but at a painful dribble-like pace.

What's the lesson here? Be open to advice and strategy, but with YT remember that it always, always comes down to the viewers and what they respond to. And that is why this game is so fun to play ;)

Same here.:/ Few weeks ago, it started to go down. And it's rapidly happening.:(

From 2K to 600/daily.:((
