I'm back with bad news and new info. I edited the video with premiere pro, manually set 4k rez. uploaded the video and bang! 4k was available! but as soon as I added music and published the video 4k was no longer available! :stomp:[DOUBLEPOST=1403726468][/DOUBLEPOST]SOLVED! I removed the music from YouTube and now it works!

Are you adding music via the youtube editor? That editor always causes me problems. Anyway good to know that you got it working :)

Yeah :) I find it difficult to find music for videos that are ok to monetize the video and with the music YouTube has in the editor there are no copyright issues.[DOUBLEPOST=1403772949,1403772856][/DOUBLEPOST]
It normally says 'original' instead of 4k.. and computers do have 4k good sir. many of them infact.

Now it actually says 4k, 2k, 1440p.

You can actually download those tracks to use in a desktop video editor. You can find them by going to video manager from the arrow at the top next to upload, then create in the sidebar to the left. You then just look for the song that you want to and click on the download link next to the blue bar for the song you want. Another good place to find music that is safe for YouTube is EricArchive and a certain channel I stumbled upon called RFGB.

Hope this helped :).
