*The guy who uses asterisks to narrate everything*
So I went listening to some old Paramore songs on Youtube and I was think "Gee, this is so much better than it is now". Now, I..... may have made a small rant venting my feelings on the subject. Then all of sudden people were liking and replying a ton. Some people agreed, some people disagreed, but with reason. And then some people.... well you know those people. Long story short: That was three months ago and today I got almost 500 likes, and about 100 comments. So just as closure I wrote, "Thank you all for your humble opinions, but after three months i would of thought you'd all become bored. It was nice meeting you all. Ba-bye now.". Then I deleted my comment.

I just hope that wasn't some sort of source of channel publicity. xD

That's pretty cool dude, you should have kept it up and gone back to it a year from now!
Plus, it was a 60,000,000 viewed video. But I was sick of notifications and all the insults.

Stating your opinion on something will always make some people upset lol. It probably was a source of publicity for your channel, but I'm sure it didn't affect you too much.

P.S. It was smart of you to remove the comment if the negative repliers were making you upset. Show 'em who's boss! :smug:

People nowadays get offended by every tiny thing, even though you didn't mean to offend anyone. Sometimes I just don't want to care about these people but I guess that would be offending to them too

Nice work on that comment though!

Top comments are actually a good way to promote your channel. If you are a YouTuber and actually interact with the community.
Then have a nice and welcoming avatar and banner then people will see you and check out your channel.

Although negative comments on the regular might be annoying it can still be a nice way of promotion if you look the other way =)

You can disable notifications on specific discussion threads on Google+ by muting the post. If they had that feature on the YouTube comments it could have prevented you from having to delete the comment.

Gosh darnit, if I knew that people who reply to comments actually go to the commenters channel, I wouldn't have deleted it!

Yeah it had an option to disable replies. But after three months most of the nice people sifted away while the "opinionated" people come in. And if they don't have somewhere to say something to me, I feel like they'll take it out on my channel or something. :/

Wow cool story. you did the right thing even though it was generating interest. I would have probably done the same thing.
