I'm lucky enough to work in a school with a 3D printer so I knock out little bits every now and then. Currently working on printing one of my students models (a dalek) but it is being a painWoah wait, what? Print a stand for it?!

It is honestly amazing but the setup can be awkward. One the Dalek is finished I will be making a video detailing the process if you're interested. Since they are becoming more popular, the prices are slowly dropping...still about a grand though![DOUBLEPOST=1406912699,1406910028][/DOUBLEPOST]
I am hoping to sit down and make a step by step video on how to 1) model the dalek in 3Ds max 2) prepare it for printing and 3) a timelapse of it being printed with commentary about what's actually going on.You should definitely do a video tutorial series about that IMO. Just an idea for you - sounds like a good opportunity
