Hello Everyone

i am going to create my YouTube channel. I am going to create multiple channels. Since i am in love with Sports. So my one of the channel i am going to dedicate to sports. Now many questions arose in my mind. Kindly Help me in answering them .

(1). I am going to take multiple short clips from original videos and then i will merge them as one video file for uploading. Will it be consider as copyright ?

(2) How Watch hour will be calculated ? is it the actual time for which a person watch my video ? like i have uploaded a video of 60 minutes and he watch it for 30 minutes, now it will be counted as 1 hour watch or 30 minutes watch time ?

(3) On my other channels. i am going to upload tutorials videos for learning. Now i have uploaded a video worth of 10 minutes. if some one click on this video to watch, for how long he will watch it to be counted as a view ? i heard it is around 30 seconds or so.

(4) if some body watching my video which is 1 hour but he watched for 20 minutes and then other day he resume it . Now it will be counted as 1 view or 2 view ?

Thnak for your time

Moved to the copyright / claims / strikes / legal forum. :)

Will stealing videos from other creators and reuploading them to your channel be considered as a copyright infringement?

YES.

i am not stealing it. let me make say if i take short clips from original videos and edit it (by adding my own voice for commentry or critisize or make fun of it). still it wil be considered as copy right ?

As far as I know, to US Fair Use law allows you to copy someone else's work for criticism and parody, which is what sounds like you're doing. So you may be ok, but keep in mind that Fair Use laws are difficult to defend and argue for. If you get a copyright claim, you can use it as a defence nevertheless.

Also, when I was starting my channel, I called a lawyer who was offering 30min free consultation and asks all these kinds of questions. You can try too.

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer. I'm not from the US.

I searched through my emails, I can't find their contact information. I was googling legal advise with free consultation and called few of them, you can try the same.

Dear, i have one more question.. i am reading a book of quotes. if i give quotes from book and i mention the author name with it below. is it copyright claim ?

Have you contacted the original owners of the works and received all of the required permissions to use their footage in your videos?

If not, expect to be claimed as soon as you upload a video using their footage.

YES, ABSOLUTELY; but not copyright claim, as that is what the owner does to you; copyright infringement, which is a violation of International Law.

Also you need to know that nothing you've mentioned will be monetized by YouTube.

It will all be considered reused content; and should you submit such a channel to the YPP, it will be rejected.
