Question about Monetization and Copyright.

Hey y'all.
So I've started to monetize my Gameplay and Cinematic videos, and had a question.
After reading through the YouTube copyright and policies it would appear that I'm allowed to upload footage of me playing games, and allowed to monetize this. I'm also allowed to monetize a video shot by me, but with someone else's music which I have permission for.
However, I wanted to do a cinematic using my own video footage recorded from a game, and then use a song from a Video Game. The songs would be from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Am I allowed to monetize an upload with my visuals, and audio from the game? If not can I use somebody's remix/arrangement of the song that I have permission for? I just don't want to breach the copyright :)
Thanks in advance!

You need to be in a network. You might get in trouble monetizing gameplay because it isn't your footage to show. I would unmonetize as soon as you can and either stick with that or try to work towards getting into a network. Good luck!

My advice to gamers: It will be alot more simplilar if you just wait until you are partnered with a network. These things can be complicated, especially for gamers and if you get done for copyright once, you will never get partnered. Adsense only makes you a couple of pennies. My advice is build your audience as a small channel, give it a few months then apply for parnter. Once you are partner you can upload all sorts of gameplay, and you have a network to speak with about copyright. Don't take any risks now and just be patient.

Just disable ads that's what I did and(knock in wood) haven't got a copyright strike so I would just do that till you get partnered

I see what youre saying but we are just trying to prevent people getting In trouble :)
True and I agree Frankie. When my new channel let me monetized, I saw that instead of just doing it to one video or so, it monetized ALL my videos and already approved lots of the gaming ones. Man, I had to scramble like crazy and un-monetize 40 or so videos as fast as I could, lol.

I like how people say 'give it a few months and then apply for a network' as if it's so easy. It takes some people years to get the amount of views and subs the networks are asking for.
Entry level networks are only asking for about 2,500 - 3,000 views per month. It's an attainable goal within a few months with proper self-education and effort. :)

I honestly don't see why on earth I should have to disable my ads. YouTube's own help states that I can monetize video gameplay if I have permission for it, which I do, as Minecraft itself has no copy

Is that all? In a week I've managed 95 subs and 900 views. That should be easily possible :) Which network would you advise when I get to that mark?

CreatorX and SocialBlade seem to get a lot of props for startups. All the best.
