Is this a good idea?

Should I wait until I'm 18 before trying to get partnered (no I'm not thinking of getting partnered at this very moment), I know I could get my parent to sign off on it, but if I wait till I'm 18, that's a years worth of growth for my channel.

Do you think this is a good idea?
 
Yes it is, it will 1) give you time to grow your channel more beforehand, and 2) you will have all the money sent to you instead of your parents. You will individually be working for them. Your parents will have no involvement. It is a good idea if you are mature enough to know what you're doing, as well. Even though you are 18 doesn't mean you're ... mentally 18.

I say yes. Do that so you have the time to grow, and mature so you can handle it by yourself without your parents.
